We are circling back and visiting Norway.  Come and enjoy a Zoom lecture by Rolf Melheim. Rolf was born in Norway and is the author of the book entitled "The History of Nordfjord."  Nordfjord is a scenic and interesting region of western Norway and a popular destination for tourists.  This informative and interesting presentation covers Europe during the last glacial period, Scandinavia during the early lower Mesolithic period, the Gulf Stream that affects Norway, photographs of various fjords, the Myklebust ship, waterfalls, the Gate of Honor, museums, sculptures, a bridal procession painting, churches and cathedrals, emigrant photographs and emigrant routes from Scandinavia, number of Americans with Norwegian ancestry, and much more.  Thank you to the Sons of Norway Gyda Varden Lodge in Grand Forks, ND, for sharing this Zoom lecture.

Fork Real Cafe - 507 Main Street, Rapid City, SD 57701 (new location)
Come join us to welcome about 35 Norwegians from Norway visiting the Rapid City area.  A dinner will be served at the Fork Real Cafe.  Donation cost is estimated at about $10 to $15.  Please RSVP to info@borgundlodge.org to place your reservation at least one week prior to this event.

Icelandic Njál's Saga Tapestry Workshop - Traveling Tapestry  (Events of Interest)
10:30 am to 2:30 pm
Rapid City Public Library
An embroidery (tapestry) workshop will be presented by Claudia Petursson, North American Representative for the the Njál's Saga Tapestry Exhibition of Iceland.  She will explain the traveling Icelandic tapestry exhibit and participants will be able to participate in the embroidery class--learning the stitches for the tapestry.  All the practice materials are free.   Class is limited to 14.  If you have not signed up, please do so asap.
